(October 13, 2008) The Print Media Academy (PMA) and experts of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG invites managers, supervisors and key employees of print media companies to a three-day lean printing seminar. The aim of this workshop is to increase dwindling profit margins and uncover untapped print production capacities.
Participants learn how a philosophy of avoiding waste, empowering employees and increasing productivity can make their business much healthier. The emphasis is on synchronizing workflows, raising the standard of service and adding more value for customers.
Kevin Cooper and Dr. Malcom Keif, two experts from Cal Poly State University, USA introduce lean concepts and tools to the seminar participants:
- How to transform a business by focusing on customer benefits?
- How to introduce lean concepts that will change a corporate culture?
- How to competitively position a company?
- How to assess a company’s potential for implementing lean production?
- How to develop a lean strategy based on lean tools?
