Press release from the issuing company

Hingham, MA – GMG, the leading developer of high-end color management solutions, announces that it is exhibiting at FTA INFOFLEX at Fall Conference 2021. Scheduled October 4-5 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel & Convention Center in Frisco, TX, it is the first live conference or exhibition for the entire flexographic industry in two years. Visitors can attend more than 20 technical presentations, where industry experts will show how flexography has evolved, how businesses are improving, and how those businesses are building a path forward.

GMG color management experts available for one-on-one meetings at booth 313
Visitors to the INFOFLEX at FTA 2021 Fall Conference will be able to meet GMG at booth 313 for conversations about color management and GMG products.

GMG will feature its new GMG ColorBook, which gives users the ability to create digitally printed PANTONE® color simulations in a familiar color guide format. GMG ColorBook is a Pantone-licensed solution for creating both Pantone color simulations and custom brand colors based on a precise set of real print conditions. It is not an off-the-shelf color guide. GMG ColorBook provides the real expected color of a printer’s own press, in its production print condition, using production inks on the production substrate. It can be used internal for quality checks, shared with the print buyer to set color expectations, and can even be used upstream in the design process to aid color selection.

In addition, GMG will be focusing on a number of newer technologies, including:

GMG ColorCard: A 2020 InterTech Technology Award recipient and a 2020 Label Industry Global Award for Innovation winner. GMG ColorCard produces “digital ink drawdowns”, which provide an accurate visualization of a spot ink on a production substrate. Unlike traditional analog drawdowns, ColorCards are printed digitally, making them fast, accurate, and repeatable. GMG ColorCard allows users to create digital drawdowns in less than three minutes, saving up to 90% of the time that is currently required by conventional drawdown production. Using GMG ColorCard, reliable and color accurate results can be reproduced with one click.

GMG ColorServer Solutions: GMG has launched a suite of ColorServer bundles that are tailored specifically for different customer applications: GMG ColorServer Conventional, GMG ColorServer Digital and GMG ColorServer Multicolor. The different solutions offer focused features and benefits for conventional printing, digital printing with both CMYK and multicolor presses, and customers who print cross-process using spot colors–especially for packaging. GMG ColorServer allows printers to both optimize color for different kinds of print, and match color across different print technologies.

GMG ColorProof GO enhances remote proofing, delivering consistent, reliable print results, independent of location. Data handling via a browser assures easy administration and distribution of data. All proofing systems and printers can be monitored and managed at any time and any place.

In addition to its most recent technologies, GMG is available to talk about any solution from its product portfolio. They include GMG ColorProof, the preferred solution for efficient and safe contract proofing for years, and GMG OpenColor software, a past recipient of the FTA Technical Innovation award. With the increasing use of multi-color printing and different combinations of inks, substrates, screening and other variables, packaging printing involves many color fingerprints and profile tweaking. Using proprietary spectral calculations, GMG OpenColor can precisely predict the interplay between all these variables.

“Because brands demand the best color on their packaging and expect suppliers to be repeatable and accountable, color management is a critical key to flexographic printing success. FTA events are a great way to share our knowhow—and allows us to learn from attendees about the new challenges they are facing,” comments Marc Levine, GMG Americas Director of Business Development. “INFOFLEX at FTA Fall Conference is really the first live opportunity we have had to meet with the flexographic industry in two years. GMG has not stood still—we have a lot of new technology to share with visitors and look forward to helping flexo printers and print buyers meet new challenges and realize their best flexo print.”
