Press release from the issuing company

Toonen and Graf will apply their individual expertise in finance, engineering, and manufacturing to guide Worzalla’s future success

Stevens Point, Wis. – Worzalla, an employee-owned printing company specializing in high-quality custom products including children’s books and coffee table books, announced two new members to its Board of Directors, Joe Toonen and Scott Graf. The Worzalla Board of Directors is responsible for planning for the future of the company, advising company leadership on key issues, and growing value for its employee shareholders.

“Through each of their individual careers and experiences, Joe and Scott are perfectly suited to serve on the Worzalla Board of Directors and help guide our company to continued success,” said Jim Fetherston, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Worzalla. “As we have seen incredible growth over the past decade, it is critical to have skilled and knowledgeable leaders on our Board to sustainably maximize this success for our associates, our community, and our shared future.”

Joe Toonen retired as Senior Partner at Grant Thornton, where he spent half of his 30-year career in charge of Worzalla’s regular audit. His specialty was working in the manufacturing sector and participated in many acquisitions and transactions. He has extensive experience working with employee-owned companies. Currently, Toonen is the COO/CFO of PRN Home Health & Therapy, LLC. Throughout his career, Toonen served on several community boards including YMCA of the Fox Cities, The Build for Kids and the Appleton Arts Center. Toonen received his BS in Accounting and MIS from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

“In my experience working with Worzalla throughout my career, they have been a clear example of a well-run employee-owned manufacturer. I look forward to doing all that I can to support Worzalla’s future prosperity,” said Toonen.

Scott Graf has spent his entire 30-year career with Greenheck, a global manufacturer based in Schofield, Wisconsin, that focuses on providing ventilation equipment to create healthy, safe, and comfortable environments. Graf currently serves as Vice President of Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Logistics, and has held other roles in plant management. He has served on several industry, academic, and civic boards such as the University of Wisconsin-Stout manufacturing board. Graf has his Masters in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and a BA in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“It is an honor to be part of a company that has such a great reputation in the local community as well as the broader book printing and manufacturing industries. I am eager to apply my passion for encouraging young people to choose careers in manufacturing in my role on the Worzalla Board of Directors,” said Graf.

Company boards of directors for employee-owned companies are unique in that they have members who directly represent the employees of the company. Three seats of the Worzalla Board of Directors are designated for employee members, who are currently represented by Worzalla associates Mary Przybylski, Lead Customer Service Representative; Wayne Plaski, Sheetfed Team Leader; and Megan Meyer, Lead Customer Service Representative. Other members of the Board of Directors include Bernie Patterson, retired former Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, as well as Sam Crockett, Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Worzalla, and Brian McManus, Vice President of Operations at Worzalla. The Board is chaired by Jim Fetherston, President and CEO of Worzalla.
