FILMtech Introduces Vice President of Operations Joey Barnard

Bean Station, Tenn. – FILMtech Inc., an industry leader in metallized and barrier films, announces Joey Barnard as the new Vice President of Operations. Barnard will be responsible for day-to-day operations of FILMtech’s facilities.

His role will include assisting in the formulation and implementation of FILMtech’s current business plan, maintaining and growing manufacturing and engineering talent, contributing to sales and profitability requirements according to strategic plans, and creating and evaluating metrics to measure profitability, return on equity and return on investment.

For the past six years, Barnard worked for the City of Morristown, TN as the Assistant City Administrator where he managed a budget in excess of $45 million and was responsible for the operations of multiple departments.

Barnard replaces Keith Stansberry who will remain an integral part of FILMtech as Vice President of Logistics.

“I am pleased we have been able to attract an individual with Joey’s skill set and work ethic to assist in leading FILMtech in the future,” said FILMtech President Mark McGarel. “Joey and Keith will work towards a full transition within the next six months.”

Barnard grew up in the Lakeway region in east Tennessee and lives in Morristown with his wife Megan and two young children. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business administration.
