printCafe Builds Sales Team and Customer Service Program

Press release from the issuing company

PITTSBURGH, PA (February 26, 2001) -- printCafe, the operating system for print, announced today that it is reinforcing its sales team across the United States, the UK, and the Netherlands with several key new hires. As part of its expanding sales and customer service initiatives, printCafe also plans to enhance what is already the industry’s largest print management system customer support organization with a Siebel Systems-based eCRM application. printCafe’s customer base includes more than 7000 print facilities and print buying organizations worldwide. “printCafe has enjoyed a year of significant growth and the market is sending us a clear message that we have unique and superior products for improving the print procurement process for both the printer and print buyer,” said Bill Guttman, co-CEO of printCafe. “We are developing our sales force in direct response to market demand, particularly in the area of corporate print buying -- a $240 billion a year market anticipating improved workflow and savings through print e-procurement solutions.” Today’s announcement highlights the creation of several new sales positions. Howard Affinito, former vice president of MediaSite, has joined printCafe as vice president of global 2000 sales and will focus on corporate print buyers. In addition, printCafe named Simon Boundy to UK Commercial Sales. Formerly with CreoScitex and WAM!NET/4-Sight, Boundy will spearhead sales to commercial printers in the UK. New hire Hans Loderichs, formerly with Benelux, joins Boundy in growing the European sales effort. Recent sales hires in the United States include Caroleta Garrett, formerly with Noosh; Ken Thompson from IKON Document Services; and Miro Vejchoda, previously with Impresse. “In addition to growing our sales efforts, printCafe is committed to delivering the highest level of service and responsiveness to each individual customer,” said Guttman. “We are very excited with our plans to roll out Siebel’s eCRM applications worldwide as part of our comprehensive upgrade in our sales and service areas.” Siebel Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEBL) is the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. Siebel’s eCRM application is scheduled to be in place at printCafe later this year.
