Worzalla Orders Sunday 2000 Web Press from imPRESSions Worldwide

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, Wash. – Worzalla Publishing has purchased a Sunday 2000 web press for its facility in Stevens Point, WI. To meet the growing demand for book production the company consulted with imPRESSions Worldwide who is supplying and installing the commercial press.

The eight-unit press will be installed with Contiweb SC splicers and ECOCOOL gas dryers with chills, both PCF1.1 and PFF2 folders, QTI auto-registration and Omnicon press controls. Worzalla specializes in the production of quality printed books. The Sunday 2000 series press is extremely flexible with the ability to print on the widest range of paper stock with the most efficient use of technology, while allowing for less waste and be a greener option for printers. The Sunday platform is used in all areas of web offset printing including catalog, magazine, direct mail, commercial printing, and packaging. With the addition of this press, Worzalla has the capability to expand to meet the growing needs of the US book publishing industry.

imPRESSions will make a number of improvements and add enhancements during the project. All plate and blanket cylinder bearings will be replaced along with many other mechanical parts. As well, Contiweb will perform maintenance and repairs while the Press is offline. All of the Press Drives will be replaced with up-to-date technology.

“The team in Stevens Point is awesome to work with and we have great respect for their passion and drive to succeed. We are honored to be part of this project and excited to see it through,” said Tom Loesch, President of imPRESSions Worldwide, Inc.
