INX to Participate at INFOFLEX 2021 Virtual Event

Press release from the issuing company

Schaumburg, Ill. – INX International Ink Co. will showcase its expansive flexographic product line and discuss packaging ink options at the Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) INFOFLEX 2021 virtual event, beginning May 12. The multiple day event takes place from 2-5 p.m on May 12-13 and May 18-20. INX will deliver a 10-minute online presentation on May 20 starting at 2:20 p.m.

FTA is a professional society that unites and represents printers, suppliers, consumer product companies and others in the flexographic community. INX offers a wide selection of flexographic ink products for package printing, including energy curable, natural, water and solvent-based products, and low migration inks and coatings. A free one-day pass to access the INX presentation is available by clicking here.

“As longstanding FTA members, we thought it was important to support this event. It’s not ideal due to the current COVID-19 pandemic conditions, but it is the best option considering there have been many new developments since we last participated at an in-person INFOFLEX show,” said Renee Schouten, INX Director of Marketing.

“Our exhibitor presentation will address current market needs and how our high performance inks can increase efficiencies and product end-use performance. One of the newest technologies we’ve embraced protects brand owners and their products by preventing counterfeiting. We plan to examine ways in which security inks and taggants can prevent counterfeiting, and enable product authentication and track and trace capabilities.”

The INX presentation on May 20 will touch upon a strategic partnership with VerifyMe Inc. and a variety of available security ink options. In addition to discussing INXhrc natural-based inks and the capabilities of its high quality Low Migration inks and coatings that are designed to meet global food packaging requirements, two new products will command attention.

In January, INX debuted GelFlex-EB inks for CI flexo printing. The surface print ink system delivers superior print quality similar to gravure, and offers a cross-linked, durable ink film that eliminates the need for a lamination layer while reducing costs and total package weight. Besides food packaging, it can be used for household, industrial, outdoors, pet food and pet care products.

INX will also introduce INXFlex™ Contour™. A UV curable flexo ink designed specifically for shrink sleeve applications with heavy ink coverage, it’s the perfect choice for most tag and label, pressure sensitive, and in-mold label applications—and it can be cured with traditional UV or LED lamps.

“As part of our continued commitment to Sustainability, every INX product is developed with the brand owner, printer, and consumer in mind,” said Schouten. “GelFlex is an example where printers can experience a double benefit where they gain from the energy savings and reduce their overall ink consumption. We welcome the opportunity at INFOFLEX 2021 to open the door for a discussion and finding the right solution for your needs.”
