Press release from the issuing company

CAMBRIDGE, MA; February 20, 2001- Banta Integrated Media wants to ensure that catalog publishers, retailers, product marketers, and other business publishers understand and take advantage of the latest trends in multi-channel publishing -- including advances in e-commerce and digital content management. The session's focus is "Making the Most of Digital Opportunities: Getting Your Message to Your Customers Through Multiple Channels." Kicking off the seminar is keynote speaker Lauren Freedman, founder of "the e-tailing group," a Chicago-based firm that helps companies develop and execute strategic and electronic commerce solutions. Freedman will provide an inside perspective on the e-tail industry and what it takes organizationally and technologically for catalogers, merchandising companies and retailers to achieve effective multi-channel publishing. Other topics to be covered include: -E-commerce Tools and Technologies: Applying the fundamentals of traditional in-store marketing to your online store. -Web-to-Print Solutions using Variable Data Publishing, including new opportunities for one-to-one marketing that combine the Internet with advanced digital printing technologies. -Digital Content Management for Multi-Channel Publishing Strategies. Product demonstrations will show how B·media(TM) content management software creates a "hub" that connects traditionally disconnected departments -- enabling fast, efficient page building for catalogers, retailers, and publishers, simplifying the creation, management, and distribution of materials for print/web workflows, and maintaining links between assets and output.
