SCREEN Americas’ Truepress Jet520HD is the Ultimate Choice for TGI Direct – a Direct Marketing Firm Servicing Highly Regulated Industries with Sensitive Data

Press release from the issuing company

Elk Grove Village, Ill. – SCREEN Americas announces the sale of its Truepress Jet520HD to TGI Direct, a direct marketing company based in Flint, Michigan. The installation is scheduled for completion in March 2021 and its technology is expected to aid in the promotion of the firm’s robust capabilities, particularly in the area of variable data output.

Founded in 1964, TGI Direct began as a print and mail house and gradually evolved into a full-service direct marketing firm servicing key industries such as healthcare, insurance, higher education and automotive. Because these industries are highly regulated and entail the management and protection of vast amounts of private data, TGI Direct needed technology that could handle such sensitive data. “We want our clients to know that we have the technology to process all of their complex variable data requests while also protecting their data,” said Amy Karbo, vice president of marketing for TGI Direct.

Rapid turnaround times, high quality images and an abundant choice of paper selection are also expected to be key selling points for TGI Direct’s sales and marketing personnel. “Whether it’s a full color brochure or a transactional document, TGI Direct’s customers will be able to have the same quality, look and feel that they’re used to receiving from an offset press,” said Mark Schlimme, vice president of marketing for SCREEN Americas. “And since the Truepress Jet520HD has the ability to print on standard coated stock without the added cost of digital primer, TGI Direct can expect to have significant paper cost savings.”

With the speed, quality and capacity of the SCREEN Truepress Jet520HD, TGI Direct, which purchased its first digital press in 2005, plans to eliminate its 4-color offset press as well as its toner-based technology, according to Craig Jones, vice president of operations for TGI Direct. The new digital inkjet press will share a space with finishing equipment that includes laminators, saddle stitchers and perfect binders.

As a company whose end products are intertwined with regulatory compliance, TGI Direct has acquired a number of accreditations including ISO, SOC, FDA, PCI and HIPAA certifications. These achievements convey a standard of excellence and credibility expected by the firm’s customers. With the Truepress Jet520HD, TGI Direct will be able to educate its customers on how SCREEN’s technology will help champion this standard of excellence.
