Press release from the issuing company
Copresco President Steve Johnson and Production Manager Lynn Buck show off the company’s Gold Ink Awards for printing excellence.
Copresco has won a Gold Ink Award for color printing a brand overview book of hair care products.
The Gold Ink program, sponsored by Printing Impressions magazine, is considered to be the graphic communication industry's most prestigious print competition.
Full page, full bleed black solids throughout the booklet, combined with fashion and product images, grabbed the attention of the judges as well as the oblong binding style and the beautiful soft-touch laminating on the covers.
"The winning award entry in this international competition is an example of the highest standards in the graphic communications industry and shows the scope of our digital printing expertise," says Copresco President Steve Johnson.
Copresco also won a Copper Award for an introductory brochure for a global investment firm. The thin booklet would normally have been saddle stapled, but Copresco combined perfect binding and hinge scoring with beautiful full-color digital printing to take this piece to the next level.
This award cycle was rounded out with a Pewter Award for a bank’s annual report.
According to Printing Impressions, thousands of Gold Ink Award entries are received each year from printers around the world who are looking to be recognized by their customers, prospects and industry peers for their superior craftsmanship.
The competition is open to all creators and producers of printed materials, and encompasses categories within commercial printing, magazines, books, catalogs, digital printing, and packaging.
Copresco produces millions of pages of short-run publications, books and manuals. Projects range from booklets, catalogs, handbooks, textbooks and technical materials to training aids, guidebooks, newsletters, calendars and cookbooks.
