TLMI Opens Registration and Announces Cybersecurity, Sustainability and Workforce as Central Themes for Virtual Spring Summit

Press release from the issuing company

Milford, Ohio – Following up with TLMI’s recent announcement that the association will be holding a Virtual Spring Summit April 14-15, 2021, the association confirms that some of our industry’s most urgent issues will be addressed during presentations and networking sessions. Following the event’s keynote to be delivered by Alan Beaulieu, President of ITR Economics, panels of converter and supplier members will take to the virtual stage to discuss some of the most pressing issues our industry faces today and how companies are persevering in a time of continued uncertainty and supply chain challenges.

Directly following Alan Beaulieu’s presentation, Summit attendees will hear from the Presidents and CEOs of a select group of TLMI converter member companies including AWT Labels & Packaging, Brook & Whittle, ID Images and MacArthur Corporation. The Converter Panel Discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities in today’s narrow web converting marketplace and ways that participants are readying their companies for a post pandemic world. Following the Converter Panel, a Supplier Panel with executives from companies including MACTAC, Ashland and FlexoWash will discuss the current state of the North American supply chain and their unique outlooks for the coming year.

The final presentation on the Summit’s first day will feature a cybersecurity expert discussing ways TLMI members can modernize the security measures they have in place to better mitigate risk and to orchestrate effective responses to potential threats.

The Summit’s second day will open with a discussion on sustainability kicking off with a presentation by Adam Peek of Fortis Solutions. Adam is a TEDX speaker and popular packaging podcast host and will discuss the current challenges with labels in making packaging more sustainable. Following Adam’s presentation, Claudia St. John of Affinity HR will provide us with updates on COVID-related human resources challenges and some of the ways she is currently guiding companies in dealing with these workforce issues and company culture dynamics.

TLMI President, Linnea Keen, comments, “We’re really excited about our lineup of presenters for the upcoming Virtual Spring Summit. There’s truly something in this event for everyone. Between panels of converters and suppliers talking about their strategies moving forward, to a cybersecurity expert, to sustainability and human resources thought leaders - our goal with the Summit is to provide attendees with the information and resources they need now in order to succeed and thrive in the coming year as more resilient business leaders.”
