Press release from the issuing company
Taipei, Taiwan – PALTEX Company Ltd. is a leading sustainable textile source for outdoor and performance fabrics. It provides cutting-edge finishing technologies for synthetic fabric innovations, which have been widely used by global outdoors and fashion brands. To help reduce microplastic pollution and drive the circular economy in the fashion industry, it makes biodegradable fibers from recycled materials without compromising functionality and comfort. PALTEX will be launching its new Sustainable Performance Textile Collection at the upcoming 2022/23 AW Textile Trend online showcase event at its Taipei HQ between Dec 1, 2020 - Jan 31, 2021.
The latest Sustainable Performance Textile Collection includes several types of fabrics made from biodegradable polyester, regenerated fishing net nylon, and closed-loop garment recycled polyesters to embrace circularity. The regenerated nylon is 100% collected and processed in Taiwan, thereby saving on CO2 emissions. Both the woven and knit fabrics from this collection are suitable for outdoor and athleisure apparel.
PALTEX is dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality textile and sees a tremendous opportunity in the increasing environmental awareness. To create a sustainable business model for the textile and apparel industry, it continues to break innovative ground by pursuing the development of new synthetic, recycled, or biopolymer materials. Compared to the virgin synthetic fabrics that take 450 years to break down, the new biodegradable textile takes less than 4 years to degrade.
