Press release from the issuing company
This is SCREEN Americas’ fifth consecutive year sponsoring the summit which will be held virtually December 1-3, 2020.
Rolling Meadows, Ill. – SCREEN Americas announced that it plans to be a keynote sponsor for the sixth annual Digital Packaging Summit to be held virtually December 1-3, 2020. This is SCREEN Americas’ fifth year sponsoring the event and its second consecutive year as a keynote sponsor.
With its Truepress Jet L350UV SAI Series, Truepress Jet L350UV and Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, SCREEN Americas is one of the leading suppliers for the digital packaging industry. SCREEN Americas will further expand its label and packaging portfolio to reach the flexible packaging market with the launch of its FL830 which is scheduled for release later in 2021.
The FL830, a high-speed, water-based inkjet printing system, was specifically designed for the flexible packaging market and is able to meet a wide variety of print needs from promotional to production applications. The press can handle media up to 830 millimeters wide at industry-leading speeds of up to 75 meters per minute at a resolution of 1,200 dpi x 1,200 dpi for drop-on-demand inkjet technology. It is also capable of printing at a resolution of 1,200 dpi using CMYK and white water-based inks that conform to relevant food safety regulations.
SCREEN Americas’ ongoing expansion of its label and packaging portfolio to further target the package printing industry was a key initiative for the company in 2020. SCREEN Americas’ parent company, SCREEN GA, has been working with German-based partner BHS to expand into the corrugated packaging market and UK-based SCREEN subsidiary Inca Digital to expand into the folding carton and corrugated board market.
With SCREEN America’s evolving commitment to the package printing industry, sponsoring the annual Digital Packaging Summit is a highly anticipated event according to Mark Schlimme, vice president of marketing for SCREEN Americas. “We’re excited to be a key sponsor of this event for the second year in a row. Of course, we'd rather be in person but we're all getting used to meeting in the cloud and there is real momentum in this market. We’re looking forward to exploring more opportunities to reach and satisfy our customers in 2020 and beyond,” said Schlimme.
The Digital Packaging Summit will highlight the current challenges faced by those performing flexible packaging, folding carton, label, and corrugated applications. Over the course of three days, attendees will hear from leading industry experts, engage in panel discussions, review case studies, and participate in virtual chatting and networking opportunities.
