Impressions Printing Differentiates on Quality, Speed and Creative Possibilities with Canada’s First KODAK NEXFINITY Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

Impressions Printing, one of Canada’s leading printers, recently became the first Canadian printer to install a KODAK NEXFINITY Digital Press—strengthening its in-house digital printing capability to enable unmatched print quality for its customers. Located in St. Thomas, Ontario, Impressions Printing services clients across the country with a full line of commercial printing, offering in-house offset, wide-format, fulfillment and digital printing services.

In its first few weeks with NEXFINITY, Impressions Printing noted a 40 percent increase in speed compared to its previous digital press. NEXFINITY is designed for maximum throughput with production speeds up to 152 A4 pages per minute. Impressions Printing also cited immediate improvements from NEXFINITY’s extended sheet size, heavy substrate capability and Fifth Imaging Unit solutions which makes it quick, easy and cost-effective to add specialty inks, a range of surface finishes and long-sheet formats.

“We were searching for a solution that could help us further differentiate on speed and quality, and NEXFINITY has allowed us to increase our output volume while enhancing customer satisfaction,” said Cory Stuart, President of Impressions Printing. “In the short time we’ve been using our KODAK NEXFINITY Press, it’s proven to be an incredibly versatile machine that delivers a powerful combination of image quality, consistency, and low running costs.”

NEXFINITY is designed with Dynamic Imaging Technology, a patented Kodak technology for digital printing that allows printers to produce crisp text, hard lines, soft skin tones, and beautiful skies on the same page, consistently throughout the run. Featuring a new high resolution and multi-bit LED writing system, the press produces the broadest range of applications, including direct mail, commercial print, publishing, and packaging. Seamless integration into workflow and finishing solutions means the press is optimized for a printer’s production workflow.
