Hingham, Mass. – GMG announces that it will be actively participating in the FTA Virtual Fall Conference, to be held online from October 5-7 from the FTA’s Virtual Conference Center. The FTA will be blending virtual platforms and technology throughout their Virtual Fall Conference 2020. It leverages first-class technologies to provide attendees with a seamless learning and networking.

GMG experts available for one-on-ones from October 5-14
Virtual Fall Conference 2020 attendees will be able to connect with GMG, a virtual exhibitor, for one-on-one meetings from October 5-7. For the seven days following the event—October 8-14—anyone can visit GMG to video conference with technical experts, see product demonstrations and have specific questions answered.

GMG will be focusing on a number of new technologies, including:

GMG ColorCard: A recent 2020 InterTech Technology Award recipient and a 2020 Label Industry Global Award for Innovation winner, GMG ColorCard produces digital ink drawdowns—accurate color samples on specific substrates, but shown digitally, rather than from a traditional process. It allow users to create drawdowns in less than three minutes, saving up to 90% of the time that is currently required for conventional production. Reliable and color accurate results that can be reproduced with one click account for more efficiency in any print approval process.

GMG ColorServer Multicolor: In packaging, digital printing has become increasingly important. Instead of using spot colors, brand colors must be displayed with a fixed ink set. GMG is making it easier to connect GMG ColorServer and GMG OpenColor, an innovation that enhances process reliability and stability. To achieve consistent results across all processes—digitally and conventionally—jobs can now print on any press available, delivering welcome flexibility in the pressroom. GMG ColorServer Multicolor achieves increased vibrancy in images while accurately matching brand colors and saving time and money.

GMG ColorProof GO offers remote proofing, delivering consistent, reliable print results, independent of location. Data handling via a browser assures easy administration and distribution of data. All proofing systems and printers can be monitored and managed at any time and any place.

GMG is also available for conversations about any product in its portfolio: For example, GMG ColorProof has been the preferred solution for efficient and safe contract proofing. With the increasing use of multi-color printing and different combinations of inks, substrates, screening, and other variables, packaging printing involves a lot of color fingerprints and profile tweaking. GMG OpenColor software, a past recipient of the InterTech Technology and FTA Technical Innovation awards, is always a GMG highlight.

GMG to provide an overview on building measurable success in a print quality scoring session
On October 7 from 10:00-11:30am, one of the conference sessions will provide an overview of PRINT QUALITY SCORING: FRIEND OR FOE?

Building a Solid Foundation for Measurable Success, will be covered by Paul Biernat, brandkey graphics and Marc Levine, Director of Business Development, GMG Americas. ‘Attendees’ can find out what a print standardization program’s big-picture objective is, and the steps brand owners and printers can take to deliver benefits to their organizations. Marc and Paul will speak from the program management and premedia points of view, with an outlook on how participants and stakeholders can approach the topic. Attendees can participate in live polls, ask questions for end-of-session Q&As, and interact with speakers before and after the event.

“GMG has been very busy upgrading its product portfolio with impactful, new products, like GMG ColorCard,” comments Levine. “While it has been difficult to meet anyone in person, we can still provide helpful face-to-face conversions and offer ways that package printers can be even more productive while building accurate color.”
