Moore Taps Former Quebecor Exec as President of Labels & Forms Operations

Burton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Moore Corporation (NYSE/TSE: MCL), announced today that he has appointed Tom Oliva to the position of President of the company's Forms and Labels Operations in North America. Mr. Burton stated: "Our North American forms and labels business accounts for 50 percent of our consolidated revenue and is a key component to our future. While I am not pleased with its recent performance, I believe that by sharpening our focus on our customers' needs and aggressively managing our costs, there is tremendous opportunity to increase both market share and profitability." "Tom is a strong and proven leader who will, without question, deliver on our commitment for quarter-over-quarter business improvement. His business and marketing acumen along with his strong results-oriented approach will immediately raise the level of performance of those around him. He excels at aligning resources and assets directly to the needs of customers and will immediately set about to eliminate non-core activities that have diverted resources and distracted us in the past. His strong understanding of manufacturing, sales and administrative functions will be a definite asset as he repositions the organization to provide a greater level of focus on our customers and higher degree of precision in responding to their needs." Mr. Oliva is a printing industry veteran who has served in a series of senior management positions. He recently held the title of President of the Gravure Catalog and Magazine Group at Quebecor World, the world's largest printing company that was formed following the merger of Quebecor Printing and World Color Press in the fall of 1999. Mr. Oliva previously served as President of the Catalog and Magazine Group at World Color Press from 1998 to 1999 and was President of World Color's National Sales Group from 1997 to 1998. Mr. Oliva earned his degree in accounting at Otterbein College. In his new role, he will report directly to Mr. Burton.
