Printful to Integrate with Getty Images API to Provide Customers with Access to Over 80 Million Images

Press release from the issuing company

Charlotte, N.C. – Printful and Getty Images, a world leader in visual communications, have today announced a partnership that will see Getty Images integrate its API into Printful’s Mockup Generator, allowing customers to easily access over 80 million images.

The integration's main functionality leverages the Getty Images API, enabling Printful customers with access to the depth, breadth, and quality of Getty Images in product designs. The integration will be available right within Printful's Mockup Generator, a tool that allows customers to create high-quality mockup photos and print files for their ecommerce stores. The Mockup Generator offers a built-in text design tool and collection of more than 600 clipart and sample designs. In 2019 alone, more than 40,000 Printful customers used ready-to-use designs for their products.

An integration with Getty Images will open up 80M+ photos and illustrations with countless searchable categories for customers to choose from, for around $1. This gives endless design opportunities to sellers that operate in most ecommerce niches.

For 25 years Getty Images has embraced disruption and change; riding the digital wave to evolve from a fragmented, analog stock photo business into a multi-billion dollar, global ecommerce industry leader and trusted brand. The breadth and quality of Getty Images’ content has always allowed its customers and partners to tell their stories with greater creativity and accuracy, eliciting more emotion and enabling more action. “We're excited to partner with a media company as influential and respectable as Getty Images. At Printful, we strive to provide an A–Z ecommerce service, and this integration will serve as a valuable addition to the design process for our customers,” says Davis Siksnans, CEO and co-founder of Printful.

The Getty Images integration works seamlessly with the print-on-demand business model, which allows customers to display products that feature the Getty images on their stores, and pay only a small fee when their product sells.

“Getty Images is thrilled to partner with Printful and, through our powerful API, provide access to the depth and breadth of creative content,” said VP of Business Development Nick Unsworth.
