Press release from the issuing company
Bison Printing (Virginia) has started the implementation process with the Tharstern MIS to increase workflow efficiency and improve the management of day to day operations.
Bison Printing has been in business since 1978, previously trading as B&B Printing. It has grown from a small family business into a 52,000 sq ft facility which employs over 60 staff. This growth has resulted in the need to upgrade its Management Information System.
As firm believers that its employees are just as important as its customers, the streamlining of the workflow using the Tharstern MIS is vital for Bison staff as well as customers––taking away the repetitive tasks so staff can concentrate on the more creative/exciting elements of the business, as well as increasing the speed and reliability of customer service.
“Once the Tharstern MIS has been implemented, it will free up time for our most knowledgeable and experienced people to focus on implementing smart solutions for our customers, instead of churning away at repetitive tasks like hamsters on a wheel. The administrative cost savings on every job are just icing on the cake.” Alfons Beisser, Co-owner of Bison Printing.
Bison Printing is a full-service commercial printer that specializes in being “the brains and the brawn” for its clients, able to work alongside them to identify and execute economical solutions that combine creativity and technology (the brains), and manufacturing muscle (the brawn) to help its customers market themselves. To help fulfill this role, Bison wanted an MIS partner that was committed to integration and automation, and Tharstern has provided that. The MIS is very comprehensive and covers the functionality that Bison desired. On top of that, the Tharstern team are committed experts who will help maximize the impact the software can have on Bison’s operations.
“Similar to us, Bison is enthusiastic about using technology for automation. It’s exciting to work as a team on this project using advanced technology and integrations to products like Fuji XMF, Enfocus Switch and the Storefront solution to help streamline the workflow and unite departments. We knew it was a winning partnership from the first meeting we had - Bison challenged us to provide an interactive demonstration to see how automation would benefit both the customer and user experience.” Ross Edwards, Customer Enrolment Manager, Tharstern.
