Press release from the issuing company
(October 09, 2008) On November 13, 2008 Printing & Imaging Association Mountain States will be hosting the PIAMS Green Industry Showcase "Phase II-Colorado's Green Evolution" at THE SUMMIT Conference & Events Center, 411 Sable Blvd, Aurora, CO.
This year's Green Industry Showcase will focus on: Green Resources (A showcase featuring equipment, products and services); Phase II of Colorado's Environmental Results Program (ERP) for Printing & Imaging; becoming a verified PIAMS Green Member; Best Environmental Practices in Print Buying & Print Production; and will conclude with a reception honoring companies who have, through the PIAMS Green Member program, been recognized by the state of Colorado as Environmental Leaders. The reception will also feature Colorado breweries & distilleries in keeping with the sustainability theme.
Two special highlights of the event will be a collection site for electronics through Guaranteed Recycling Xperts (GRX) another Colorado Environmental Leader, dedicated to achieving zero landfill – that currently recycles 95% of all materials received. And, New Belgium Brewery who will host local "Fat Tire" beer at the Sustainable Reception.
According to PIAMS President Kathy Lauerman, who is a Sustainable Green Printing Partnership committee member, "this year's Industry Showcase will benefit companies in the printing industry and their customers by helping them get a better understanding of what it really means to be green, and still be able to print in the process. I'm extremely excited about the interest and enthusiasm there is from the entire community about this event."
