WILMINGTON, MA, October 10, 2008 - Prism will be showcasing the small business edition of its flagship MIS, Prism WIN. Prism WIN SBE is the solution for the smaller, sophisticated printer with great plans to grow into the future. Based on full-featured Prism WIN, SBE is designed and priced for rapid implementation and training.
2008 marks Prism's greatest presence at Graph Expo at booth 4213. Prism released the first Windows-based print management information system (MIS), Prism WIN, in the early nineties and once again is at the forefront of technology in its release of its latest version with true three tier architecture and the Microsoft .NET framework. Prism QTMS iQ, the award winning production management system, continues to build upon its success of dead-on production counts with company-wide tracking of pallets and overall management of work in process (WIP). QTMS is the foundation for a lean, green production environment.
Prism WIN KPI Dashboards for iPhone and Smartphones
Prism WIN's latest module is the browser-based Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboard with graphical and intuitive indicators of sales performance, production performance and consolidated executive KPI's. Based on the runaway success of QTMS iQ Manager management consoles, the KPI dashboards are configurable, real time representations of business, sales, and production performance. KPI dashboards as well as QTMS iQ Manager will be demonstrated on computer, iPhone, and Smartphone browsers.
Prism WIN and QTMS Dynamic Scheduling
Prism WIN Scheduling helps monitor deadlines and maximizes plant efficiency. It considers job prerequisites, such as proof OKs, available plates, and available shifts to move work forward. A "what-if" mode allows you to see the results of switching variables, such as adding a shift or changing a job order. The clear graphical Gantt chart lets you see connected tasks and makes it easy to identify bottlenecks. For the first time, this module is available as an option with QTMS for fully integrated production management.
JDF Integration
Prism continues to lead in cross vendor integration delivering a synchronized business solution for its customers. Prism WIN and QTMS have always been open solutions and now include integration with its many partners. At Graph Expo, Prism will be demonstrating connectivity with Litho Technics' Metrix, Kodak Prinergy, manroland. Prism WIN is the hub for job planning through production, commercial printing to packaging.
Microsoft .NET Framework
The latest version of Prism WIN, SBE, and QTMS iQ are built on the flexible, familiar, and attractive Microsoft .NET framework. In addition to the obvious changes to the graphical user interface that we will be showcasing at Graph Expo, this framework allows WIN and QTMS iQ to set new levels for open systems. Through Prism WIN Connect, printers have unprecedented flexibility to connect to external systems through JDF and Prism's own XML-based programming interface, facilitating B2B e-Commerce, true supply-chain management, and streamlining internal business processes.
