DREWSEN’s Handling of the Coronavirus

Press release from the issuing company

At DREWSEN, the health and safety of our employees remains our top priority. We also attach great importance to the continued production and supply of critical paper grades.

Fortunately, we do not currently have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the mill, and staff absenteeism remains at normal levels.

The recommended hygiene and social-distancing measures were implemented at the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak. These measures continue to apply to our own employees as well as to all third parties.

The supply of raw materials and deliveries of all paper grades to our customers continues unaffected.

The broad positioning of our product portfolio allows us to fulfil the urgent need for customer-critical paper grades such as pharmaceutical leaflet paper, prescription paper, paper for direct food contact, and paper as a replacement for plastic.

Despite the crisis, DREWSEN continues to invest in projects such as increasing the drying performance of PM5, the further development of speciality papers for drinking straws, saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions.

Tensions are increasing worldwide, nevertheless, all DREWSEN employees continue to work responsibly and with diligence. Their actions in protecting themselves and others (working from home, wearing masks, hygiene and social-distancing measures), has been fundamental in keeping the mill fully operational.

With the commitment of our entire team, we have been able to keep the DREWSEN “ship” on course during the COVID-19 storm.

We are certain that together we will overcome this extraordinary challenge.
