Every new year brings new opportunities to grow your business. From printers to the vendors who support them, there is an opportunity in every segment and in every size print shop. Start by adding these three things to your 2020 plan:

Here is why these three things will help you in the first quarter of the new year.

You’ve seen checklists, and apps, and ticklers and reminders, but as you look at all of the ways that a job might be specified by a sales team member, is any one of them complete? In reviewing job onboarding processes over the last decade, it is clear that if the job specification is complete from the start, that job will move through production with fewer touchpoints and fewer delays. In most print shops, however, the sales teams develop their own shorthand as they move through the sales process. And they may have a different shorthand for each type of customer. They may also have a shorthand for moving the job from sales to onboarding into production. While it may seem efficient, if there is a change in personnel, or business expands into new areas, the shorthand can mask relevant, essential data needed to ensure swift execution of the sales order.
