Lessons from a Visionary: An Interview with Mike Panaggio
A visionary leader anticipates challenges and growth opportunities before they happen, positioning people to produce extraordinary business results. Real visions can lift organizations into the higher realm of new possibilities. In some ways, true visionaries spread the seeds of their visions so that those possibilities might take root in their organizations. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to interview DME Founder Mike Panaggio. This article outlines Mike’s predictions about the future of the communications industry.

Great summation! Most of the action items in Mike's observations have already been set in motion somewhere. It's a good check list for business owners and their strategists moving forward.
Take heart all you owners of (digital) presses of Mike's particular prognostication:
Direct Mail Will See a Resurgence as Data Becomes More Accurate.
It is also interesting to note that the term "One-to-One" applies to all of Mike's predictions. The ultimate marketing goal being to always send the right message, to the right person, at the right time.
And that can only be done by eMarketers who use eTechnology to eCommunicate.
Great article, read the Calvin Klein QR code and enjoyed the video, I found it interesting that they did not use a trackable QR code - the url went directly to the CK site - a missed opportunity to measure the audience numbers and who got to the site through the QR code.
Kudos Barb, you really captured Mike Panaggio's true passion. Having spent 10-years at DME and regularly brainstorming with him, I can honestly say that Mike sees what isn't there. To his credit, it's his vision that made DME into the Disneyland of Direct Marketing.
For those of you who haven't visited DME and taken the tour, you are really missing an opportunity to experience the future of one2one marketing communications.
