In every sector of the print industry, we are learning that AI tools, when used appropriately, can offer benefits. They also bring some risk. The trailblazers who have been trying the tools and identifying how to balance risk and reward find that AI can make things easier, but there is no magic wand. While AI-enabled processes and tools can enhance efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and provide data-driven insights, finding that balance still takes a human touch, creativity, and intuition. Even when you ask Grammarly to improve your writing with its AI Tools or let CoPilot rewrite an email, you should always check the results to ensure they represent your intent!

When AI tools like ChatGPT burst onto the scene they developed a reputation for assisting in generating content, helping to brainstorm ideas, and even predicting market trends. Because these tools are backed by computing power, they can analyze vast amounts of data, offering insights that would take most of us significantly longer to uncover. For instance, AI now helps to identify consumer preferences in almost real-time, optimize supply chains even as goods are moving, and personalize marketing strategies based on live data.
