The printing industry continued to have a pretty good summer. Things had looked a tad bleak in June, but things picked up in July, shipments hit $7.66 billion in August, and then crept up to $7.67 billion in September. It was a better September than last year, almost as good as 2021 and 2020, but wa-a-a-y below the post-COVID rebound year of 2022. October is usually the best month of the year for the industry. Will that continue?
January to September shipments are at $66.40 billion, still a bit short of—but closing in on—2023’s $67.25 billion.
