Tired of inkjet? Overwhelmed by all the new technology? In Hall 14 you can watch a demonstration of how Gutenberg printed and how he invented moveable type. The Gutenberg Museum in Mainz displays all kinds of historical print paraphernalia and, for those interested, sells souvenirs in print and typography. For those eager to exercise and prove their craftmanship the printing Museum Leipzig (Museum für Druckkunst in Leipzig) lets you operate a slightly more modern, hand-operated press. Both booths are next to each other in hall 14, close the East-entrance of the Messe.

Drucken wie Gutenberg

Das Gutenberg-Museum in Mainz stellt allerlei historische Druckutensilien aus und verkauft für Interessierte Souvenirs rund um Druck und Typografie. Wer sein handwerkliches Geschick unter Beweis stellen möchte, kann im Museum für Druckkunst in Leipzig eine etwas modernere, handbetriebene Presse bedienen. Beide Stände befinden sich nebeneinander in Halle 14, in der Nähe des Ost-Eingangs der Messe.
