There are always projects waiting in a business. Some are small projects that require a few hours, like re-organizing directory structures, tagging content for a library, or documenting procedures. Other projects are more significant and require weeks or months of work to develop requirements, create consensus, plan, execute, test, and launch. And then there are the projects that fall somewhere in the middle.

These three essential questions can help you determine when it makes sense to do a project in-house and when it makes sense to consider partnering with an outside team to achieve your goals. But they aren’t the only questions. Before diving into how to get a project done, assess the projects you are considering to ensure they will bring value to the company!

A typical high-value project is adding web-to-print and digital storefront capabilities to the sales and job order entry environment. Streamlining how you capture job information and including tools that evaluate the job order specifications to ensure they can be met can save the time required to review, contact customers, wait on delayed responses, and verify and enter the order. These projects can be built to only face existing customers, face into the consumer market, or both.
