Sales performance software is a huge business. Statista says it will grow to $1.65 billion by 2024, and that is not far away. In fact, they may be undervaluing the market. It keeps growing because sales teams are under increasing pressure to handle more accounts, grow those accounts, and deliver on margins. The tools are intended to help track customers, their performance as customers, and the salesperson’s performance as well.

To track performance, you need to consider more than sticky notes and spreadsheets. True sales dashboards provide the views you need of team members, their performance, customers, and their performance. To provide a path to insights, they need access to the best data available including:

This gets you started, but you may want much more. You may want granularity that shows the orders by stock type and orders by type of finishing. You may want the cost of goods sold broken down into each touchpoint in the process, including ink or toner costs, operating costs for each device, and labor rates for each touchpoint.
