Press release from the issuing company
SeaChange, a Minneapolis marketing solutions provider, announced today that it has purchased an HP PageWide Web T240 HD Inkjet Press. The new equipment is part of its continued commitment to meet the contemporary needs of today’s customers. SeaChange is the first in Minnesota to offer this latest technology.
The new inkjet technology will enable superior quality variable printing with the widest paper selection in the industry – without the need and expense of inkjet treated papers. It offers offset quality and speed but with full variable printing capabilities, meeting the increased demand for personalization.
“Print is a technology business and this investment fits with our pursuit of redefining print,” notes Wendi Breuer, President and CEO of SeaChange. “We’ve seen remarkable growth in variable printing, and are excited to bring this technology to our clients as they execute dynamic, targeted marketing strategies.”
The high-speed press is another step in SeaChange’s efforts to improve turn times for its clients. It complements the company’s GATHER solution, which offers sophisticated automation “giving marketers time for lunch.”
The HP T240 HD also builds on SeaChange’s commitment to sustainability. It reduces makeready and trim waste and uses ecologically friendly water-based inks. It’s a good fit with their building which generates energy with solar panels and uses high-efficiency LED lighting.
Installation will begin in early September, and the press will be housed within SeaChange’s fully secure and HITRUST certified digital production environment.
SeaChange is also adding a new in-line coater, offering a wide variety of tactile effects including soft touch, high gloss, glitter, and matte to the high-speed digital press.
SeaChange will highlight its inkjet capabilities and discuss why it’s the latest catalyst for digital transformation at its ENGAGE event on October 17. For more information about the event, please visit https://www.seachangemn.com/engage.
