Avanti Slingshot to Power "Super Sample" at Dscoop Edge

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto – Print samples have always played an important role at graphic arts trade conferences, providing tangible examples of what state-of-the-art printing, embellishing and finishing technologies can create. But, at this year’s Dscoop Edge event (Orlando, March 24-27), Avanti Systems and other top industry vendors will show how it’s done with maximum efficiency.

Using the Dscoop app, every visitor to the conference can order one of several “super samples,” such as a personalized conference notebook or pressure-sensitive label to be delivered on-site. The award-winning Avanti Slingshot® Print MIS system will track every order as it makes its way through the production process, and will deliver an email when the final product is ready for pickup.

The tight, bidirectional integration between HP’s PrintOS and Avanti Slingshot provides real-time visibility of each job’s status through every stage of production. It increases speed, accuracy and consistency by linking together all print-specific functions using a single centralized database.

Being WOWed at Dscoop

Visitors can download the Dscoop Edge smartphone app for either iOS or Android, and order their choice of WOW supersamples. The production process begins with web submission via the Infigo Catfish web-to-print solution and continues through printing on an HP Indigo 7900 digital press, Duplo’s UV embellishment, Nobelus lamination and Muller Martini perfect binding.

The finished super sample, which can be collected at booth #909, demonstrates 15 ways in which print providers can differentiate their business and add value for their customers. Visitors can stop by the Avanti booth #142 for a demonstration of how Avanti Slingshot enables print shops to streamline operations and bolster profitability.
