Komori India Participates in its First Ever Printpack

Printpack is the biggest exhibition in the south Asia region held every two years. Printpack is a great opportunity for the printing industry to showcase their latest technology and machines.

Komori India has taken part in its first-ever Printpack India 2019 as an independent entity. Earlier, in the year 2018, Komori Corporation acquired the Insight communication & Print solution India Pvt. Ltd. and inaugurated its Indian Subsidiary to represent its South Asian market. KND now represents Bangladesh and East Africa with an aim to provide better leadership to this market.

Printpack 2019 has great importance for Komori, especially; it’s the first appearance for the Komori India as part of Komori Group. The sole purpose was to make sure that the printers/customers in the region should know that we are here! We want to spread out the message that Komori Team management will have direct contact with its growing Indian market and across the border.

Komori India has installed 200 square feet stand with 2 offset presses. Komori extended its innovate to create theme to the Indian market and Live demonstration of its newly launched press GL 437 with inline coater with automatic applications. The presentation of GL 437 C press was prepared to cater to the growing demand for packaging and printing customers in the market with better quality and enhanced productivity. Since the launch, it becomes popular with its compact design, flexibility and suitability.

The 2nd offset press demonstrated was Enthrone 29, the best seller in the Indian market. This press philosophy was designed to fulfil the dreams of printers who for the first time will buy their first brand new press. Reason being Indian market thrives on the multiple pre-owned used machines. This Komori offset press will empower this new printer fraternity/generation to increase their business. The live demo has instilled that confidence that Komori can make their dream comes true.

Customers were impressed with the live demo. Chairman and CEO MR Yoshiharu Komori – on his first visit to Printpack India said “This helps me take a better feel of the Indian market. I am pretty excited to meet my old friends and new customers here at the show. I want to see the prospectus the Indian market has to offer us.

Komori provides the perfect support system for customers. In the Komori Kare section, Komori original spare parts were displayed to derive maximum performance from products and representatives answered questions from show-goers.

The six-day event drew the crowd of approx 5,000 to the Komori stand. The presence of Chairman Yoshiharu Komori has motivated the Team KND and printers touched with his simplicity & Generosity. 20 demos were being demonstrated in 6 days. Mr Komori has press started the Demo of GL 37 C. The enthusiastic printers were happy with the quality printed during Demonstrations. The live demo has its immediate effect as newly interested printers can now see how press functions and their queries were being answered at the spot. The reactions from the printers were remarkable and Printpack 2019 has really left a good impression that coming years will be promising for the brand Komori.

Wafa Abbas, director, Amber Press, said, “Being an existing customer of Komori, we were aware of the technology and after-sale services. We will install new machines within next two months”.

Birju Talati of Metro Plus said, “This is our first new printing press and all of our existing pre-owned printing presses are from Komori and we have hands-on experience on the machines.”

Managing director Komori India Hirofumi Hoshino’ concludes -“I am quite optimistic about the Indian market. We have put a good show, got a lot of good enquiries from the show and looking forward to educating the market about our services. Ever since we have come to India, I must say that our Indian operations are getting organized with each passing day. The Indian market is full of potential and we are here to explore it to the best of our abilities.
