Customer’s Canvas Variable Data Printing Enhancements: Inline Variable Fields, Images, and Barcodes

Press release from the issuing company

Aurigma expands the functionality of the Variable Data Printing module on its online editor - Customer’s Canvas

Aurigma Inc. continues to develop Customer’s Canvas, its web-to-print editor – specifically the variable data printing module. This module allows Customer’s Canvas users to create templates that can be further filled with user’s data automatically. With the latest updates of Customer’s Canvas software, the module has been enriched with additional data types that can be inserted: inline variable fields, images, and barcodes.

Inline variable fields provide support much like merge tags in popular email marketing services and enable the creation of templates with personalized parts of the text area. This opens up the creation of «Hello, {{NAME}}» greetings and many more.

Image support in VDP module means that variable data is not limited to text fields. This means that customers will be able to fill placeholders with images or backgrounds to provide advanced personalization capabilities for clients.

Barcodes support is another feature that adds a new dimension to personalized designs. Now Customer’s Canvas supports both barcode and QR-codes to store additional information. It can be a coupon or contact information. Data validation and third party data source integrations are both available for this feature.

“Since we first showcased the VDP module at Print 18, we have received strong interest from customers.”, - says Dmitry Sevostyanov, CEO at Customer’s Canvas by Aurigma, Inc. “One of our main goals is to help our customers increase the profit margins on their orders. Advanced VDP capability is one of the key features in achieving that.”
