Toray Plastics (America) Supports The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp’s 27th Annual Big Apple Bash

Press release from the issuing company

North Kingstown, R.I. – Toray Plastics (America), Inc., joined a thousand Hole in the Wall guests and campers on Saturday, November 10, at the Big Apple Circus, in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center in New York City, for the Camp’s 27th Annual Big Apple Bash. The event raised a record $1.77 million for the Camp’s year-round programs and Toray was among its sponsors. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides a “different kind of healing,” creating fun and friendship for seriously ill children and their families.

The two-hour performance at the Big Apple Circus was followed by a reception at the iconic Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Kicking off the evening’s short program, the Camp’s CEO, Jimmy Canton, shared program updates and then introduced the camper Hope, who told of how Camp changed her outlook on life by helping her recognize that she could fulfill dreams despite having sickle cell disease. The camper Aiyanna then performed an original song accompanied by ukulele. Both campers received standing ovations.

“The Big Apple Bash is an exuberant, heartfelt, and extremely important event that we look forward to every year,” says Christopher Roy, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Torayfan® Division, Toray Plastics (America). “We’re very grateful to be able to celebrate with such amazing and inspiring campers and to offer support to the Camp.”
