Enovation Graphic Systems Acquires Image Control Systems, Inc

Press release from the issuing company

ELMSFORD, N.Y., Jul 2, 2002 -- Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. announced today the acquisition of Image Control Systems, Inc., a dealer to the graphic communications industry headquartered in Seattle, Wash. Image Control Systems has served the graphic arts industry since 1965 and today consists of four branch locations in the Pacific Northwest, including offices in Seattle, Portland, Spokane and Anchorage. As part of Enovation, the branch locations will continue integrating traditional graphic arts film, plates and proofing products with electronic publishing systems to provide customers in the Pacific Northwest with the finest products, support and services available. "The company has deep roots in a strong commitment to treating its customers with integrity and fairness," said Phil VanDuyne, general manager of Image Control Systems. "Knowing that Enovation Graphic Systems regards these values as highly as we do confirms my belief that this is a strong move for both companies." Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. was formed last year with Fujifilm's acquisition of three leading dealers in the channel - PrimeSource Corporation, Heartland Imaging and Graphic Systems, Inc. - and is America's largest distributor of equipment, consumables and technical services to the graphic communications industry. In May of 2002, Enovation acquired Taylor Impression Inc. with five branches in Tennessee and Arkansas. "With the addition of Image Control Systems, Enovation reaffirms its dedication to fulfill the requirements of our Northwest customers in the graphic communications industry," commented Atsushi "Steve" Yoneda, chairman of Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. "Enovation offers complete solutions from the world's premiere manufacturers and assists in integrating imaging technologies and products through consultative services and support." "This is clearly another example of our strong commitment to be the nation's leading distributor for the graphic communications industry," said Daniel Maffeo, Enovation's executive vice president. "And it is with that commitment that we continue to uphold our promise to be the value-added supplier, providing our customers with `best in class' products with unparalleled service and support." Phil VanDuyne, general manager of ICS adds, "In 1965, long before a mission statement became an essential corporate credential, ICS' founder wrote and evangelized the company motto: `Image Control Systems offers only proven products with dependable service and sound technical advice.' This simple expression became the guideline that defined ICS as a reliable supplier of high quality products at fair prices. I see this same approach in the way Enovation cares for its customers." "ICS is known as a successful company built on honest relationships," comments James F. Mullan, president of Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. "Their tradition of integrity and their recognition of the essential need for the added value customers desire and deserve certainly mirrors our business philosophy."
