Crawford Technologies’ DTE Version 4.7 Creates Interactive, Responsive HTML from Any Print Format

Press release from the issuing company

First Solution to Offer Mobile-first Capabilities for Existing Print Streams

Toronto, Ont. – Crawford Technologies, a provider of innovative document solutions that streamline, improve and manage customer communications, has released its latest product extensions to Crawford Technologies’ Digital Transform Engine (DTE). A significant feature in DTE 4.7 is its groundbreaking approach to modernizing existing print streams by enabling the reengineering of documents into responsive HTML output. This new capability easily transforms any document, including legacy documents, into a mobile-friendly format that will dynamically adjust to any screen size and orientation. By providing a simple and cost-effective way for organizations to implement a mobile-first strategy, the customer experience can be extended and enriched—even when dealing with complex transactional documents. This feature is particularly significant for accessible communications as HTML output provides a better experience than PDF output for reading aloud on mobile devices.

DTE is the core engine used in Crawford Technologies’ award-winning solutions. Additional key product enhancements include:

  • Support for Signed PDF on z/OS
  • An indexing enhancement that gives added support to trigger fields based on PDF bookmark content
  • Additional enhancements to PRO Designer and accessibility functions

Crawford Technologies upgrades its software on a semi-annual basis to ensure its products and services are keeping customers and partners at the forefront of the latest trends and newest technology.

“We are fortunate to have customers with varying types of application requirements and degrees of complexity to foster the development of more sophisticated accessibility and electronic output,” said Ernie Crawford, president and CEO of Crawford Technologies. “The accessibility and electronic output capabilities in DTE 4.7 are designed to stay in step with the advanced technology needed to enable our customers to provide the best communications experience possible.”
To introduce the key upgrades of DTE 4.7, Crawford Technologies will be holding a webinar on June 6 at 1:00 p.m. EST for all customers and partners.
