Roland 'The Only Choice' for The Colour House's Expansion Plans

Press release from the issuing company

Clevedon, UK – The Colour House has clocked up two decades in sign and print, and for the last ten years has depended on a Roland VP-540 printer for a variety of work. Therefore when the Merthyr Tydfil, UK business decided to invest in a machine that could offer its customers larger, seam-free prints, it went straight to Roland DG.

“We bought the Roland VP-540 from Signmaster in 2008 and it's not just still working after ten years, it's still providing outstanding quality," says Anthony Roberts, Managing Director, The Colour House. "It's cleaned once a week and that's it – Roland engineers have only looked at it twice in all that time."

The Colour House is a complete signage provider for many kinds of clients, but has made a name for itself as a specialist for the construction market. It counts major house builders including Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes, Linden Homes and Lewis Homes among its customers, for whom it prints large-format advertising displays, safety signage and more. However, with the smaller Roland machine and another printer Anthony Roberts describes as 'overworked', the company decided to install another large printer.

"We wanted to enlarge the width of our prints and Roland was the only choice," he says. The Colour House bought a Roland DG TrueVIS VG-640 from Roland seller Grafityp in July, and has shown its strengths every day since.

"We were blown away by the quality of the prints; the depth of colour running six colours is phenomenal," says the MD. "We can now print 10' x 5' signs in one go, with no unprofessional-looking joins, which is perfect for our clients in the house-building sector."

The TrueVIS prints directly onto vinyl, banners, Contravision, frosting, wrapping, canvas and other substrates, with vibrant colours and sharp details printed quickly and efficiently. The Colour House has used its new TrueVIS to produce three full vehicle wraps since its installation among a plethora of other work.

Roland's TrueVIS range offers true print and cut without compromise. Versatility, quality, productivity, ROI and synergy all ensure TrueVIS users have a world of print possibilities to explore. For more information, please visit www.rolanddg.co.uk/products/printers/truevis

Anthony Roberts says the new machine will be put through its paces before his business considers new markets or investments, adding any new print systems will 'definitely be from Roland'.

"I'm a proud to own a Roland, and my staff love its quality output." he says.
