The Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) and the International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking (IADD) have announced the programming line-up for the 2018 Joint Conference, to be held April 11-13 at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee, USA, near Nashville.

The FSEA·IADD Joint Conference is the only event this year targeted to the print finishing, diecutting and diemaking industries. The conference offers a supplier trade fair, educational programming and an awards reception where the recipients of the FSEA Gold Leaf Awards, FSEA Lifetime Achievement Award and IADD Presidential Award will be honored. New this year, conference attendees will have the opportunity to share best practices on a variety of subjects with industry peers as part of the Networking Workshops held during conference programming.

Keynote speakers: Thursday morning’s keynote speaker is Ken Thoreson of Acumen Management Group. Thoreson is a respected sales and leadership advisor who will share his recipe for professional and personal development, leading to a culture of high performance in any organization. Viking Plastics’ Kelly Goodsel will keynote the Friday morning session, sharing his company’s cultural and operational transformation as a result of the implementation of continuous improvement principles. The midsized injection molding company from Pennsylvania has seen incredible increases in profit and employee engagement.

Breakout sessions: Keeping up on the latest industry trends can mean the difference between a successful year and one that is … not. Conference breakout sessions, led by field experts, include topics such as design and packaging trends, foil recyclability, developing tomorrow’s workforce, economic impact and the 4 Disciplines of Execution.

Networking workshops: New this year, peers from the industry will lead discussions on topics of high impact where attendees discuss common issues and share their companies’ solutions. Topics include managing converting industry workflow, addressing customer demands and decreasing spoilage.
