Connections are the Focus at SGIA’s New FP3 Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Real time, real learning and real connections lead to innovations in functional printing

New Orleans - “You can’t overstate how important networking and connections are to getting the job done,” said Edward Cook Jr., ECI Screen Print Inc., Chairman of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA). “So FP3 will be the event where you can create those collaborative relationships that bring innovation to functional printing.”

FP3 — Functional Printing, Process and Products is the latest conference offering from SGIA and will take place June 4–6, 2018, outside Chicago. Cook made the announcement yesterday during SGIA's Printed Electronics Symposium held in conjunction with the 2017 SGIA Expo in New Orleans this week.

“Many functional printers consider themselves manufacturers who use print as part of their process. If you fabricate a tangible object, you’ll want to be at FP3 to learn how to use industrial printing to make it more effective,” Cook said. “You’ll learn how to leverage all the industry has to offer.”

FP3 is constructed on three pillars — robust, peer-reviewed educational sessions, a small trade show and focused networking opportunities and social events — all of which are built with industry thought leaders in mind.

“FP3 speaks to the leaders in your organization. That obviously means the CEO and C-level executives, but it also includes anyone in the company who innovates and implements new technologies,” Cook said. “These will be high-level discussions that foster thought leadership and collaboration.”

Educational tracks will cover industrial technologies, business strategies and printed electronics with sessions presented by industry leaders.

“Having peer-reviewed sessions means they’ll be highly relevant, non-commercial discussions,” Cook said. “The sessions — and the conference as a whole — are in place to serve the industry. Altogether, the educational sessions, the networking events and the trade show component add up to an event that will take manufacturers to the cutting edge of where they’re going with functional printing.”

FP3 — Functional Printing, Process and Products comes to the Westin Chicago Northwest (Itasca, Illinois) June 4–6, 2018. Sign up to be notified when registration opens at FP3Conference.com.
