Foster Introduces Powered Version of Popular On-a-Roll Lifter Jumbo at SGIA

Press release from the issuing company

Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania - Foster will introduce a powered version of its popular On-a-Roll Lifter® Jumbo at SGIA 2017, October 10-12, in New Orleans.  Designated the Power Jumbo, the new lifter eliminates the manual effort required to lift the large substrate rolls used with EFI and VUTEk wide format and superwide printers, EFI Reggiani textile printers, and a wide variety of similar rollfed printers.  With the Power Jumbo, printer operators and shop floor personnel can effortlessly maneuver rolls as heavy as 990 lbs (450 kg) and with roll diameters as great as 19.6 inches (50 cm).  With the Power Jumbo, shop personnel no longer need to use overhead cranes or forklifts near delicate electronic printers and expensive substrate.

Announcing the new powered lifter, Foster CEO Ted Borowsky said: "Large media rolls such as those used by EFI printers are extremely difficult for operators to handle in the typical print shop, converter, or packaging firm.  The new Foster On-a-Roll Lifter Power Jumbo dramatically reduces the effort required of operators to quickly and easily load and unload printers, as well as maneuver heavy rolls in the warehouse and on the shop floor.  The Foster Power Jumbo lifter will be shown at SGIA 2017 and is available from Foster dealers around the world."
