Komcan Announces the Sale of New Komori GL840 to Astley Gilbert

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto, ON, - Komcan Inc., the Canadian dealer for sales, parts and service for Komori America Corporation, announced today the sale of a new Komori GL840 Perfector with Tower Coater, H-UV and UV curing capabilities, and extended delivery to Astley Gilbert, located in Toronto.

The new Komori includes some of the most advanced features available on an offset press today. Some of these features include A-APC plate changing for simultaneous changing of plates on all eight units in less than 90 seconds. PQA-S dual camera system for sheet inspection of both sides of the sheet offers the ultimate quality in one pass print on demand offset printing. Astley Gilbert is well known to its customers for the highest quality in all aspects of its printing operation from sheetfed, digital, visual display and online services.

"Simply put, we needed to be able to offer our clients the highest quality at faster speeds. The ability to deliver completely dry 4/4 sheets in one pass even on synthetic substrates made this choice a no-brainer," said Ron Verbaas, ‎manager product development at Astley Gilbert.

"A company like Astley Gilbert demands a press like the new GL840PC. It brings the highest level of features and automation to a company that truly knows how to use it," said Steve Ranson, president of Komcan.
