IIJ exhibiting at Pack Expo features adding benefits of digital printing to existing processing equipment

Press release from the issuing company

Golden, Colorado, USA – Industrial Inkjet Ltd USA (IIJ) is showcasing its innovative inkjet printing technology for food and pharmaceutical packaging manufacturers visiting Healthcare Packaging Expo and co-located Pack Expo 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. IIJ will be at Booth N-619 located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, September 25th through 27th

IIJ, the pioneer of bespoke digital print engines, invites show attendees to visit its stand where experts will be on hand to discuss how its technology can help packaging converters address their challenging pharmaceutical and food packaging applications.

IIJ will show two modules representing some of the range of options available. IIJ’s cost effective print engines are based on Konica Minolta inkjet printheads known for high quality, speed and reliable performance. The engines can utilize a wide range of ink types therefore provide potential solutions for many types of printing substrates and applications.

  • ColourPrint 562i  (22”) and  ColourPrint 72i (compact 2.8”) –  4 color engines, capable of 250 feet per minute

Capitalizing on the compact footprint, existing equipment can be upgraded to include digital printing capabilities with either the IIJ ColourPrint Series or MonoPrint Series of print engines. Superfast variable data print modules, the MonoPrint XPi series can be adapted for web widths up to 6 feet are capable of speeds over 900 feet per minute for late stage label and packaging customization.  The ColourPrint series of engines can be configured for either high-quality label applications or industrial marking applications using the range of Konica Minolta printheads available.  Extending the hardware solution with an extensive ink catalog and significant process expertise allow IIJ be an active partner in creating an application specific solution based on client needs.

“IIJ sees its primary strengths as technical capability and commercial willingness, working collaboratively with our customers to provide solutions based on their specific application.  The IIJ team of inkjet system experts work closely with your team to ensure the right solution for your application.”, states Graham Vlcek, President, IIJ USA who will be available during the show.

Paddy O’Hara, IIJ’s Director of Technology, will also be on hand throughout the show, said, “With a low capital cost compared to an inkjet press and significantly lower cost of ownership than comparable systems, the return on investment will be much faster.  This is driven by high reliability, long lasting Konica Minolta printheads and reduced ink usage.”

IIJ will have a variety of print samples on hand to show general capabilities using a variety of inks such as: low migration, security, white, varnish and cold foil solutions available for viewing at the US show but we would like the opportunity to discuss your particular application.  Contact Laura Kitzmann  during the show on + 1 303 305 9053 or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment
