DAA International Introduces Geniejet Low Cost Polyester Inkjet Imaged Plate

Press release from the issuing company

DAA Director, Dan Dombroski states that as older plate makers and printers are wearing out, customers are looking for an inexpensive, affordable way to make quality, processless plates.

Customers can get into DAA's GenieJet polyester ink jet plate system for under $3000* for most systems.  All that's needed is an Epson printer using Ultrachrome K3 inks, a RIP, laminator (or dryer), GenieJet plates and GenieJet wetting agent.  Design work is done as usual on a PC, sent to the RIP, and the plate is then imaged with the Epson printer.  Passing plates through a laminator will result in run lengths up to 10,000 impressions.

GenieJet is ideal for printers looking to upgrade laser plate capabilities, or for printers who want to replace older silver platemakers that are breaking down.  It is excellent for spot color work, and can handle up to 175 lpi.  Technical assistance, if needed, is readily available.
