Kodak Announces Plate Price Increase for China

Press release from the issuing company

Xiamen, China - Kodak announced today that it will increase the price of certain Kodak digital printing plates for the Chinese market, effective from March 1, 2017. The price increase will be in the range of 4 to 6%.

“For months Kodak has been absorbing increases in the costs of raw materials and energy, and as a direct result of these cost pressures in the manufacture of plates, we are taking the necessary step of raising our prices for certain plates,” said Brad Kruchten, President, Print Systems Division, Kodak. “Kodak has a history of high levels of product quality and service, and we have been continuing to invest in R&D in order to introduce new products that will keep our customers competitive. We know our customers value Kodak’s quality, service and innovation, and they will understand the need for the price increase,” Kruchten added, “We will work closely with our customers to ensure that both their plate needs and business requirements are met as effectively as possible.”

Details of the new pricing structure will be communicated to all customers and dealers across the region. All current contractual commitments will be honoured.
