Callprint’s ‘tailored solution’ contract with Carillion

Press release from the issuing company

Print and visual communications specialist Callprint has confirmed that last year was capped with the securement of one of its ‘largest value’ contracts with support services and construction company Carillion, after an extensive tender pitch against some of its closest rivals.

The national print services contract, which was won by Callprint in April last year, is for an initial three years with an option to extend for a further two-years, and has seen Callprint provide a tailored solution to meet all of Carillion’s UK print and reprographics service requirements.

Carillion is one of the UK’s leading integrated support services companies, with extensive construction capabilities and a substantial portfolio of Public Private Partnership projects. The group had annual revenues of some £4.1 billion in 2014, and employs some 46,000 people in operations across the UK, Middle East and Canada.

Callprint has a long established client base in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector, supporting and providing services for companies for projects from concept through to construction. Callprint has adapted to meet the ever-evolving and changing needs of the AEC industry, becoming a leader in the provision of reprographics services to companies within the sector, providing cost-effective, fast-turnaround services, which range from small and large format colour printing through to the construction of 3D models.

Matt Smith, Callprint’s National Accounts Director, stated, “The service that we have been providing is on a national footing, and is helping Carillion to reduce shipping costs, carbon footprint and also any environmental impacts. The achievements that this is offering is a standardisation of their print requirements, ensuring that all their offices are now effectively getting localised service support from all of our national hubs across the UK.”

Callprint’s Managed Services Director, Paul D’Rozario explained, “As part of the deal we have also developed bespoke tools to meet the on-going demands of the client. New staff have been employed in the form of key account managers in the North, South and Scotland regions to look after Carillion so there are specific personnel on the ground, providing local support and advice, as well as attending regular meetings with their staff.”

“We are providing a comprehensive range of outsourced digital print reprographics services within the contract, whether it be bid and tender submission, 3D print, or print management. Advice is also being provided on new technologies, along with education, innovation and development where required. The areas of new technology and innovation are paramount to Callprint, and as a business we like to think that we are at the forefront of any developments in our industry, and this demonstrates why we are viewed as a leading services provider for the AEC sector.”

Paul concluded, “So whatever Carillion’s needs, and wherever they may be, from national offices, site offices to mobile cabins or offices, Carillion’s people can call on us at any time. We were delighted to have secured their business in the face of such tough competition in this sector.”

A spokesperson for Carillion added, “Callprint met all our requirements when it came to providing our company with an outsourced print and reprographics service, and we look forward to working together with them on our various projects.”
