Xante Excelagraphix 4200 enables Panhuijsen Packaging to capture new business opportunities

Press release from the issuing company

San Diego, California – Memjet today announces that Netherlands-based packaging supplier Panhuijsen has purchased the Memjet-powered Xante Excelagraphix 4200 inkjet printing system. This system provides the speed, color, and personalization capabilities Panhuijsen needs to offer customized packaging services to its growing customer base in Europe’s Benelux region.

Kevin Shimamoto, general manager, Wide Format Technology at Memjet says, “Providers like Panhuijsen today are looking for new business opportunities from many different markets, and Memjet’s proven technology is just what they need to be successful. Memjet-powered solutions like the Excelagraphix 4200 provide the quality and speed providers need to create the best applications for their clients at any run length.”

The e-Commerce opportunity
Panhuijsen Packaging has a long history of providing wholesale packaging and related services to customers. The company wanted to capture a new business opportunity: servicing smaller-sized e-commerce companies that require about 100 packages per year.

To reach this market, the company purchased the Xante Excelagraphix 4200. Requiring a low capital expenditure, this Memjet-powered inkjet printing solution gives Panhuijsen an economical way to provide personalized packaging for the e-commerce customers it is targeting.

Michiel Van Dijk, owner of Panhuijsen Packaging, says, “The Xante Excelagraphix 4200 has enabled us to expand our business by giving us a fast, cost-effective way to produce colorful, personalized packaging in very small quantities. No other company could offer the speed and quality the Excelagraphix 4200 provides. Now that we have the in-house technology, we are seeing more and more possibilities for our customers – and for our business.”

Melissa van Gelderen, general manager of Xante Europe, commented, “Panhuijsen shows us what is possible when you combine innovation and the right printing solution. By looking ‘outside the box’ and identifying a new market opportunity, Panhuijsen is making corrugated package printing even more profitable. The Excelagraphix 4200 supports that effort perfectly, giving the company a way to produce professional, four-color, branded packages for a whole new customer segment.”
