Premier Print Group Purchases New Eight-Color Komori GL40 Perfector With H-UV™ System

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - Komori America announced that Premier Print Group, located in Champaign, IL and one of the largest sheetfed printers in the U.S., recently purchased an eight-color Lithrone G40 perfector with H-UV™ system (GL840P), its third Komori press. The company plans to use the capabilities of the new press to open new markets with innovative offerings that meet the needs of its diverse client base. Premier Print Group is the go-to commercial printer for a wide range of industries, including creative agencies, insurance and financial enterprises and academic institutions.

“We are always looking for new opportunities to serve our clients better and faster. With technology advancing at an unprecedented pace, our company is committed to stay at the forefront of it,” said Dan Paulson, president and co-owner of Premier Print Group. “Answering the demand for high quality print in a market that requires tighter and tighter turnaround led us straight to the GL840P with H-UV. We are very excited about the capabilities this press can deliver.”

A key driver in choosing the press is its ability to hold the color specs with virtually every sheet while producing high-end color applications. “We print all types of unique projects that require special details and zero defects, including corporate branding, newsletters, brochures, catalogs and comprehensive direct marketing campaigns,” said Scott Moore, sales manager and co-owner of Premier Print Group. “This new Komori press will allow us to print four colors on both sides in one pass, making a huge difference in how quickly we can get jobs out the door to the client.”

In addition to the speed the press delivers, Premier Print Group is looking forward to expanding its offerings with the capabilities of the added H-UV system that make it possible to print on difficult stocks, like uncoated or matte, without worrying about marking and scuffing or to create special effects with all types of glosses and reticulating varnishes.

“I can’t think of a better combination than the GL840P with Komori’s H-UV system if the goal is more unique, complex applications and optimized efficiency,” said Jacki Hudmon, senior vice president of sales at Komori America. “We are excited for Premier Print Group as they discover all this press can do for their clients.”
