RR Donnelley Names Dan Leib Vice President, Investor Relations

CHICAGO--May 14, 2004-- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company today named Daniel N. Leib, 37, as Vice President, Investor Relations, effective immediately. He replaces Julie Gottlieb, who will be leaving RR Donnelley to pursue other opportunities in the greater New York area.
In this role, Mr. Leib has overall responsibility for development and execution of the company's investor relations strategy and program. He will report to Kevin J. Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RR Donnelley.

Mr. Leib joins RR Donnelley from The Interpublic Group of Companies where, most recently, he served as Vice President of Business Planning & Analysis with responsibility for investor relations. Previously, he served in financial roles of increasing responsibility at Interpublic and its predecessor companies as well as at Sears, Roebuck and Company and The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation.
Mr. Leib received an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance with high honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
