Kodak Versamark to Show Axeda DRM Solution at DRUPA
Press release from the issuing company
MANSFIELD, Mass., and DAYTON, Ohio, April 19 -- Axeda Systems Inc., the world's leading provider of device relationship management (DRM) enterprise software and services and Kodak Versamark, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak, the leading worldwide supplier of ultra-high speed digital printing solutions announced today that they will jointly showcase Axeda's DRM solution at the DRUPA show in Dusseldorf, Germany from May 6-19, 2004.
Kodak Versamark will showcase how the Axeda DRM solution provides proactive customer service for their line of high-speed digital printing systems. Axeda DRM is loaded with key features that provide remote monitoring capability to Kodak Versamark service personnel, capturing hundreds of data points from the print engines and providing live and historic information vital for diagnosis and troubleshooting. The system incorporates multiple automated alarms that allow for prompt service interventions. Notifications are automatically generated to trigger corrective or investigative action by service, without the need for intervention on the part of Kodak Versamark's customers. Most of these alarms are very early indicators that prevent printers from suffering downtime and allowing for repairs to be accomplished during scheduled maintenance periods. The key customer benefit is increased equipment uptime and productivity.
"We are excited at the opportunity to showcase our new technology and our leadership as a provider of digital printing solutions at this major international event in the printing industry," said Kazem Samandari, vice president, Global Marketing and Product Management for Kodak Versamark, Inc. "It is a great opportunity to showcase our latest technology and newest production printing systems in our first international exhibition as Kodak Versamark."
"The DRUPA show is an important event in the printing industry that offers innovative companies like Axeda and Kodak Versamark an important platform to showcase how we are collaborating to address the needs of the digital printing industry," said Dale Calder, founder and president of Axeda Systems. "We are excited to be working with innovators like Kodak Versamark who are taking advantage of DRM technology to offer their customers exceptional customer support."
Drupa 2004, held every four years in Dusseldorf, Germany, opens on May 6 and runs through May 19. Kodak Versamark, Inc. is in Hall 5, Booth B24.
