Multi Packaging Solutions Chooses Specially-Configured KBA Rapida Press

Press release from the issuing company

Indianapolis facility receives highly-automated press for packaging and plastic printing

KBA North America announces that Multi Packaging Solutions, Inc. (MPS), a leader in the packaging industry serving the multi-media, cosmetics, healthcare, horticulture, and value added consumer markets, has installed a new specially-configured KBA Rapida press with full automation for its board packaging and plastic printing. The new press is currently in production at MPS’s facility in Indianapolis.

When MPS approached KBA about a new press, the premiere packaging firm had specific needs and a specific configuration in mind. The firm wanted to upgrade its existing press technology with new state-of-the-art features to provide increased productivity, more flexibility for multiple coating effects, maximum efficiency, excellent color stability, outstanding print quality, and extremely short makeready times. After a diligent investigation, MPS awarded the press order to KBA.

MPS’s new KBA Rapida press provides solutions on this specially-configured model with unique capabilities.  The new press, dubbed the makeready world champion for its fast speed, raises the bar in productivity, production flexibility and automation. The high production speed and ultra-short makeready times will expand the company’s capabilities while helping to dramatically lower its overall costs.

Multi Packaging Solutions is a leading manufacturer of print-based specialty packaging for the cosmetics, healthcare, consumer, and media end markets. MPS has 16 manufacturing locations in the United States and Europe.  MPS is unique in its depth of industry experience, breadth of technologies, and range of resources. The company's management, sales, and design teams bring vast experience in packaging solutions to current and future customers.  More information is available at www.multipkg.com.
