Kodak Executive to Share Best Practices for Multi-Source Information Management at AIIM Conference 2013

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - Kodak’s Document Imaging business will share integrated solutions and industry expertise with information professionals at this week’s Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) Conference March 20–22. Kodak will feature award-winning offerings in the Solutions Lounge while experts from the company will engage attendees with information on the latest trends in document management. Tony Barbeau, Kodak’s General Manager for Document Imaging, will host a session on best practices for using information capture processes and solutions to handle multi-source input.

“The AIIM Conference gives us the opportunity to share our solutions and expertise with a wide audience of information professionals,” said Barbeau. “Additionally, the conference has incorporated peer-to-peer sessions to help attendees network with each other to solve some of their toughest business challenges. I look forward to moderating a discussion that will help attendees streamline document capture and input to improve business processes.”

Barbeau’s session is titled “The Multi-Source Input Challenge” and will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21 in the Solutions Lounge. The discussion will focus on how information arrives in different formats including paper documents, emails, faxes, mobile text, social and voice. Barbeau will share how successful companies use a variety of systems to handle each of these input streams.

“Mailrooms receive letters, administrative assistants receive faxes, our computers receive email, and mobile phones receive texts – yet these input streams often don’t interact with one another. Businesses need a simple solution to this complex problem,” said Barbeau. “Information and business professionals should evaluate input sources and offer up solutions that will enable their companies to achieve greater efficiency and growth from their business processes.”

The company will feature KODAK Info Activate Solution v1.1 and the KODAK SCANMATE i940 Scanner in the Solutions Lounge. KODAK Info Activate Solution v1.1 provides powerful new capabilities to help SharePoint administrators control business data and improve how professionals capture and organize documents from multiple sources into SharePoint libraries. The compact, portable, cloud-connected i940 Scanner meets the dynamic needs of both on-the-go and desktop professionals by quickly converting paper documents into digital files for easier distribution and information management.
